BBK DAV College for Women organize its 46th Award Day

Amritsar, Aug. 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  BBK  DAV College for women today organized its 46^th Annual Day to recognizede the achievements of its students in academic, sports and cultural activities.  Mr. Yogender Choudhary (IRS), Income Tax Commissioner Amritsar was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion. The event commenced in a ceremonious way with lightening of lamp by the chief guest along with college Principal Dr. (Mrs) Neelam Kamra and Mr. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman LMC, also on the occasion, Dr. Kamra read the annual report of the college and highlighted the accomplishment made by students in various fields. While interaction with the students, Chief Guest Mr. Choudhary inspired them to become an achiever in life. “Dreaming is not enough in life, we must work hard to make our dream come true” he added.  Mr. Choudhary also raised his voice against the practice of female foticide and supported the cause of female education. In his speech, he also against the menace of drug addiction in Punjab.

600 students were awarded prizes on the occasion. Also, the college magazine ‘Shachi’ and ‘News Bulletin’ 2015 were released. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra congratulated the prize winners and encouraged them to achieve greater heights in the coming years.

Also present on the occasion was Prof. Vinay Kapoor, Head of Law Department GNDU, Lawyer Ananya Kapoor, LMC Members Sh. Charanjit Mohindru, Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal, Sh. Arun Mahajan, Principal Sh. Paramjeet, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff.
