‘Van Mahaotsav’ celebrated at Sarup Rani Govt. College for Women

Amritsar, Aug. 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Sarup Rani Govt. College for Women today celebrated ‘Van Mahaotsav’. Dr. (Mrs.) Tarundeep Kaur (IRS) Deputy Commissioner, Income Tax was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Saplings of Harshingar, Jacaranda & Ficus were planted in the campus. The Chief Guest motivated the students to plant trees & apprised them of their values and importance of trees in life. Principal Mrs. Sunita Sehgal Dhillon presided over the function and appreciated the Chief Guest for being a role model (Woman) and for her motivating talk. The college council members, faculty from Botany department and science students attended the function.
