
Amritsar, Aug. 19 (Dharmendera Singh Rataul)- Pakistan’s famous folk artist Ustad Khadim Hussain Warsi today enthralled the audience at Khalsa College for Women (KCW) with his magical voice. Warsi recited the Kalaam’ of mystic poet of erstwhile united Punjab, Waris Shah and captivated the audience for more than one and half hour.
He recited the famous `Heer’ and other verses from the famous `Kisaa Heer Ranjha’ of Waris and kept audience spell-bound. The program was organized by the college as special presentation for the staff, students and select guests. The `Avaal Hamad Khuda Da’, Ishaq Jag Da Mool’, `Heer Di Doli’ and `Baabul’ presented gripping effect as the audience.
The audience was seen swaying heads to the music and singing power of Warsi. He also recited Sultan Bahu’s select verses. He said earlier also he has performed and was overwhelmed with the response from the audience he received during his last fortnight long stay in India. He soo left for Pakistan today after the performance.
Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina who was chief guest at the occasion termed Warsi having magic in his voice whose music and renditions were equal to communion with God. He said such music programs helps forging cultural ties between two neighbouring countries.
