DAV Public School Releases Gatha – Our City , Our Canvas !

PPN0709201508Amritsar, 7 Sept (Punjab Post Bureau)- The warm reception and wide acclaim of the annual magazine ‘Gatha’ of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar on the theme Amritsar volume 1 , gave the inspiration for bringing out the second volume of the same, tracing and navigating the unexplored horizons of the city. The colourful magazine visualises the city in different shades and moods, all captured by the students. The magazine was warmly received by the readers, many of who referred to it as a reference book on the holy city.  The much awaited magazine was released amidst blessings by Sh.Ravinder Kumar  Secretary DAV CMC, Vice Chairman LMC and Sh.Mahesh Chopra Honorary Teasurer  DAV CMC, New Delhi. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road, Amritsar , the Manager of the school  Dr.Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar , Advocate Sudarshan Kapoor were among the eminent personalities present during the occasion. According to Mrs.Pratibha Panghal  In – Charge Publications , Editor – in – Chief and Editor English section, “ The sequel is not a hymn to the city but a hard hitting, thought provoking attempt to trigger a positive action plan to redeem the lost glory.” Advocate Sudarshan Kapoor highly appreciated the work saying, “ This is certainly the best magazine of any institution ever published.” Sh.Ravinder Kumar called it the most creative expression to children’s talent. Sh. Mahesh Chopra praised and congratulated the entire publication team under the guidance of Mrs.Pratibha Panghal for the brilliant work. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar also applauded the diligent efforts of the teachers and students  in bringing  out the wonderful magazine. Dr.Neera Sharma Principal of the school  said , “ The  Magazine is a young and aware mind’s eye view of the what , why and how of the happenings around.” She added that she was happy to see the creative work of the students and see them grow into responsible citizens.
