Rising star cycling expedition arrived in Amritsar

Jalandhar, Sept. 8, (Punjab Post Bureau) – As part of Golden Jubilee celebration of Indo-Pak War of 1965, a cycle-expedition from Jammu to Delhi organized by Rising Star Corps. This expedition consists of 4 Officers, 6 Junior Commissioned Officers and 49 Other Ranks. The aim of this expedition is to portrait the glory of victories of Indian Army in 1965 War. The expedition arrived at Amritsar at 13.00 hrs from Jalandhar. Expedition was flagged in by the Panther Division. The members of Cycle expedition interacted with school children of APS, Khasa and APS Amritsar. A documentary on 1965 war also was screened for the students. The expedition will be flagged off by General Officer Commanding, Panther Division on  Sept. 9 for their next destination to Ferozepur and reach its final destination i.e. Delhi on Sept. 19.
