BBK DAV organized lecture cum Workshop on “Human Body : Morphology and Mechanics”

Amritsar, Oct. 10 (Punjab Post Burea) –  A DBT & UGC sponsored lecture cum Workshop was organised by Departmant of Zoology and Department of Physics, BBK DAV College for Women on the topic “Morphology and Mechanics of Human Body”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Gaurav Agnihotri, Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, Government Medical College, Amritsar. On this occasion,Dr.Gaurav Agnihotri was given floral welcome the college Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra. Dr.Gaurav Agnihotri briefed the students about the human body by using ADAM, an Interactive Anatomy Software, used to dissect human body by peeling away structures layer by layer. He also emphasized that the human body is an amazing and intricate example of how Physics manifests itself in our daily life. He added that looking at the body as a physics laboratory lends a fresh perspective for both physics and medical students. It was a learning, enlightening and  interactive session for students of B.Sc (Medical), B.Sc (Non.Medical),B.Sc.(Computer Science), students enrolled in Diploma in Clinical Diagnostic Techniques as well as faculty where he answered all the queries put up by students upto their full satisfaction. Dr. Monika Bhardwaj, Head Department of Zoology, Co- Ordinator DBT Star College Scheme and Community College, extended a vote of thanks to the chief guest for sparing his valuable time. Dr. Shaweta Mohan, Head Department of Physics and other faculty members were also present during this lecture.
