BBK DAV College for Women wins Basketball Championship

Amritsar, 25^th Oct (Punjab Post Bureau) – Basket Ball team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar grabbed champion position in GNDU Inter College Basket Ball Championship held at GNDU Campus. The college players gave a splendid show by winning a trophy with a great margin by defeating Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala with a score of 46-32, HMV College Jalandhar with score of 73-55 and S.R. Govt. College, Amritsar with a score of 19-06. Nine players i.e. Navdeep, Amanbir, Shabnam, Samriti, Davinder, Seema, Karanjeet, Somi Kumari and Sukhjinder selected for All India Intervarsity Camp and All India Intervarsity championship going to be held at Delhi from 17-19 November, 2015. Other team members are Hardeep, Gagandeep and Akwinder.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Mrs. Sweety Bala H.O.D, Sports Department congratulated the students and motivated them to maintain the good positions in future as well. Ms. Savita Kumari & Ms. Rajwant Kaur teachers of the sports department and Basket Ball Coach Mr. Ravinder Singh Mr. Ramesh also congratulated the students for their achievements.
