Commerce Festival “COMFEST” held at DAV College

Amritsar, Oct. 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PG Department of Commerce and Management, DAV College organized Commerce Festival “COMFEST” from October 23rd -25th, 2015. Around 250 students from college, teachers from various schools and colleges and parents of students participated in three day Commerce fest. This festival was organized with aim of providing opportunity to our young minds to find out their hidden talents and to provide them a platform to perform and learn about their extra ordinary skills. Various Workshops on E- Commerce, E- fling and Cultural Programme comprising Gidda and Skit based on drug Addiction were held during this Festival. A tribute was also paid to Great leader Dr Abdul Kalam his great doings and achievements throughout his life.

 Valedictory function of this festival named “Rang Manch “was organized on 25th October, 2015. Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar and Prof Rajnish Popi, Head Department of Commerece honoured the Guests during the Valedictory function. S.Jatinder Singh Brar from Punjab Naatshala and Mr Ashok Neer, Bureau Chief, Dainik Jagran were the Guest of Honor during this festival. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar congratulated department of Commerce for their dedicated effort and motivated students to take part zealously in such upcoming events.

While addressing the students, S.Jatinder singh Brar inspired the students and their great effort. He added that such events are quite helpful in over all development of students and these programmes help them to learn spirit of competitiveness.  Dr Daizy Sharma ( Incharge Administration), Dr Sanjay Sharma ( Staff Sectary),  Prof.  N.K Sharma, Prof.  Rajni Khanna, Prof.  Ritu Sharma, Dr. Laxmi Kant  Sharma ( Dean CCA), Prof. Arif  Nazir, Prof.  Ullas Chopra, Prof.  Vikas Behal were also present during the event.
