
Amritsar, Nov. 2 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public school , Lawrence Road celebrated the foundation day of Punjab with full zeal and fervour. The morning assembly echoed with Punjabi folk songs and songs narrating the valour of Punjabis. Students recited poems and raised their voice to save rich Punjabi language and culture .The students enthralled the audience with the Punjabi folk dance. No culture or language can flourish if the , natives do not take pride in it .The people of Punjab are known for their strength and hard work . The students stressed on the fact that people at large should join hands and show respect to each and every religion , culture and language and not make it a political issue . In the end , the students pledged to provide Punjabi language and culture a global platform.
Regional Director, Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra , Principal B.B.K DAV collage for women and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Principal DAV collage Hathi Gate sent their best wishes to the student on this occasion . They said,”Punjabi literature has so much to offer , guide and inspire the youth of today . The need of the hour is to connect to it and feel proud of what our rich heritage has to offer.
The Principal of the school, Dr. Neera Sharma congratulated the student on this occasion and said that we should all join our hands to abolish all evils from the state of Punjab. According to her, “The need is to stop brain drain , unemployment and drug menace from the state and utilize the ingenuity of the educated youth of Punjab to make the state a developed state in all facts”.
