“You Don’t Smoke Cigarette, Cigarettes Smokes You” awarded as Best Ad Film at 7th IAFA

Amritsar, 4^th Nov, (Punjab Post Bureau)- Bringing laurels to the department of Mass Communication and Video Production of DAV College, Gurasis Singh, a student of Bachelors of Mass Communication and Video Production got award for making an Ad film “You Don’t Smoke Cigarette, Cigarettes Smokes You” at ICEPLEX Ad Film Award, which was held at Mumbai Doordarshan Studio on October 29.

Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar congratulated him for this achievement. He appreciated various other achievements of mass Communication and video production department. He also congratulated Prof Arif Nazir, Head, department of Mass Communication and Video production, for his efforts for motivating students in these kind of creative fields.

Talking about his Ad film, Gurasis Singh said that it was an ad film based on the message for the chain smokers and also tried to give the message that you don’t Smoke Cigarette, Cigarettes Smokes you. He informed that this film was selected in the age group 17-21 under the category of ‘Health and Beauty’.

There were total 24000 registrations from all over India in different age groups i.e. 11-13, 14-16 and 17-21 under different categories which are Environment, Health & Beauty, Safety, Women Empowerment, Water Conservation and Child Nutrition.
