BBK DAV College women wins GNDU Sports Championship

Amritsar, Nov. 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Archery Compound team of BBK DAV College for women, bring laurel to the institution by winning GNDU Inter College Archery Compound Championship, Archery Indian round Runner up and Archery Recurve 2^nd Runner up held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. College Archers gave a splendid show by fetching Gold, Silver & Bronze medals in individual events Ms. Komalpreet won two Gold medals with 650 Total points. Ms. Mandeep won two Silver medals with 642 points and in 50mt distance individual event & Olympic round respectively. Ms. Sandeep won Bronze medal with 627 points in 50mt distance individual event. Two players are selected for All India Intervarsity camp which is going to be held at Chennai 06-11, January, 2016. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Mrs. Sweety Bala H.O.D, Sports Department felicitated the students and motivated them to maintain the good position in future as well. Ms. Aruna Mahajan & Ms. Rajwant Kaur teachers of the Sports department congratulated the students for their achievement.
