DAV Public School wins Overall Champion in Annual Science & Cultural Fair – 2015

Amritsar, Nov. 26 (Punjab Post Bureau)- DAV Public School, Lawrence Road emerged Overall Champion and bagged the Overall Trophy in the Science & Cultural Fair – 2015 , ‘Fusion’ organised  by Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology. Many schools from Amritsar District participated in it .  It was an elaborate  event with different schools  competing in as many as 18 different categories. The  students of Std XI and XII participated in all the events and won first prize in 5 and second prize in 8 events. The details of the same are as follows :  First prize was bagged by Akanksha and Kamya in Model Making , Malvika in Poster Making , Vernica Goenka in Group discussion, Gauri Gupta in Sudoku and Ginni in Solo Singing. Second Prize was bagged by Sanya in Solo dance, Shivdev in  Group discussion, Vernica Goenka in Junk Yard and Sudoku, Mahima Khanna in Essary Writing and Junk Yard , Sahil Sharma and Gauri Gupta in Junk Yard. The judges appreciated the efforts of the students and praised their knowledge and competitive spirit. They praised the school for preparing their students for the global competition. Regional Director , Amritsar zone, Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College, Hathi Gate congratulated  the efforts of the students and the teachers. They asked the students to develop scientific attitude and be research oriented for the betterment of the country. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, expressed her happiness at the performance of the students. She said that she was happy to see her students excelling in different fields. She asked them to participate in different curricular and co – curricular activities for their overall development.
