BBK DAV College becomes champion in one sided affair

Amritsar, Dec. 2 (Punjab Post Bureau)- BBK DAV College Rowing team won the GNDU Inter College Rowing Championship with Seven gold medals and two bronze medals. College team gave a splendid show by defeating Khalsa College women, Amritsar, S.D College Dinanagar and GNDU Campus. College team won the trophy by getting 30 points. Ms. Kawaljit and Ms. Rajbir grabbed two gold medals in Double Skull 1000 meter, Ms. Renu Savita won gold medal in Single Skull 1000 meter, Ms. Kawaljit, Shaveta, Rajbir and Sandeep won gold medals in Rowing Four 1000 meter and Ms. Shaveta and Priyanka won two bronze medals in Pair 1000 meter. Six players i.e. Kawaljit, Rajbir, Shaveta,  Renu Savita, Priyanka and Sandeep  are selected for All India Intervarsity camp Rowing Championship which is going to be held at Osmania Hyderabad in February, 2016. Other team members are Robandeep, Manpreet, Sukhraj and Kirandeep. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and Sports Department H.O.D Mrs. Sweety Bala and Teacher Ms. Savita Kumari, Ms. Aruna Mahajan and Ms. Rajwant Kaur congratulated the students and blessed them to touch new heights.
