3rd  CKDCS Cultural Fest begins at Sri Guru Harkrishan Sen. Sec. Public School, G.T.Road

Amritsar, Dec. 10 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The 3^rd CKDCS Cultural Fest 2015 organized by Directorate Education started at Sri Guru Harkrishan Sen. Sr. Public School, G.T.Road with great pomp show.  It was a beautiful morning all soaked in Cultural Fiesta. Participants from different schools arrived with lot of excitement and enthusiasm. The Chief Guest on the Inaugural Ceremony was I G Border Range Mr. Lok Nath Angre whereas S. Charanjit Singh Chadha, President CKDCS was the Guest of Honour. The Inaugural Ceremony began with the Shabad followed by the lighting of the lamp.  The girls of Std 12^th welcomed the esteemed dignitaries with the cheerful and vibrant welcome dance.  S. Harminder Singh, Member Incharge in his welcome speech said that this Cultural Fest provides a platform on which the participants from different schools showcase their talents and skills. S. Charanjit Singh Chadha said,  “It is an effort to connect our young generation with the rich punjabi culture and heritage which is otherwise disintegrating day by day”.   The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by Mr. Lok Nath Angre.  He said that the schools running under the CKDCS are doing a praiseworthy job in the field of Education.  Principal/Dir. Dr. Dharam Veer Singh said that about 1500 students from 34 schools will participate in about 20 different competitions like Declamation,Poetic Recitation, Folk Dance, Rangoli, Skit, PPT Presentation, Salad Making, Vaar Gayan, Sufi Gayan and Turban Tying for two days.  Other dignitaries present on the occasion were S. Dhanraj Singh (VicePresident), S. Nirmal Singh (Resident President),  S. Narinder Singh Khurana (Hony Sec), S. Sarabjit Singh, S. Manmohan Singh, S. Santokh Singh Sethi, S. Ramneek Singh,  S.
