Amritsar, Dec. 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – An Annual Veteran Rally was organized today at Baba Bakala by Beas Military Station. While addressing Army Veterans and Veer Naris, Station Commander Beas Military Station told that ex-servicemen can now register complaints regarding their pension and other benefits online and also follow-up accordingly without having to visit any office.
Station Commander informed that this facility has been created for Veterans and Veer Naris through the Veterans Sahayta Portal which is linked to all the relevant offices which deal with the issues pertaining to the veterans. He explained that “The veterans have to simply register and log-in to this portal to file their complaints. These complaints will directly go to the concerned departments and also to the Record Offices. We, at the Veterans Sahayta Kendra in Beas, will also be monitoring the complaint redressal process. This facility will ensure that the Veterans and Veer Naris do not have to run from pillar to post to get their issues resolved. It is a single window grievance redressal facility for them”. While talking about the various welfare measures being undertaken by the Army for the benefit of the veterans, Station Commander said that special emphasis is laid on self-reliance and as such employment opportunities have been created for Veterans, Veer Naris and dependents. He said that at present 44 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and dependents are employed by the Beas Military Station in various civilian posts in the ECHS, Canteen, Schools and Polyclinic.
