
Amritsar, Dec. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The Traffic Police , Amritsar observed ‘ Road Safety Week’ under which it organised many events at different venues. The aim of organising these events was to spread awareness among the students and the teenage drivers about the importance of traffic rules. With the same theme, a Quiz Competition was organised at DAV International School today. The quiz was based on Road Safety and Traffic Rules. As many as 25 students from different schools of Amritsar participated in the Quiz.
Out of these only 8 students reached the final round. After giving a tough competition to the other teams, the students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar bagged the First Position in the final round. The team comprised of Vedant Mahajan and Snehashish Roy of Std X .
Regional Director , Punjab Zone A, Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra , and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar congratulated the students for their brilliant performance. Dr.Neera Sharma , Principal of the school, while applauding the students advised the young drivers to drive safe and be safe. She added that it was very important to obey traffic rules for safety.
