Grand Nagar Kirtan Organized by Chief Khalsa Diwan

Amritsar, Jan 15 (PPPN1501201621unjab Post Bureau)- Commemorating the birth anniversary of the 10th guru of the Sikhs, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the founder of the Khalsa Panth, a Grand Nagar Kirtan was organized by CKDCS. It started with the ‘Ardas’ performed by Head Granthi Giani Jagtar Singh Ji. The Nagar Kirtan was led by ‘Panj Piyaras’ followed by tableaus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji bedecked with flowers , Gatka Jathas, Kirtan teams and band teams from various schools.   A large number of students and teachers from all schools and colleges of CKD , Sikh Scholars and other social personalities took part in it. A Karvan of a number of two wheelers and four wheelers, floats singing hymns added enthralling authenticity   to the  the Nagar-Kirtan. Refreshment stalls were installed in the school and enroute. The procession was marked by rendering of holy ‘Shabad Kirtan’ by the music teams of various CKDCS schools. The whole atmosphere was filled with spirituality and Bhakti Ras which enthralled all devotees. A special efforts were made  by Chief Khalsa Diwan for the cleanliness to be maintained during Nagar Kirtan. A CKDCS school group holding  placards spreading message “ Go Green , Go clean “ and “Save Environment” was remarkable.  On the way,  Nagar   kirtan was extended a warm welcome by Sardar Pagri House .

At this pious occasion ,President  S. Charanjit Singh Chadha  said that Chief Khalsa Diwan is committed to descend religious values to the Generation next..   To meet this objective , every year Nagar Kirtan at a large scale  is organized  for  inspiring  students to be associated with their religious roots  and follow the path shown by our  Gurus.   Vice President S. Dhanraj Singh , Resident President S. Nirmal Singh, Hon. Secy. S. Narinder Singh  Khurana, S.. Harminder Singh, S. Sarbjit Singh, S. Sawinder Singh Kathunangal,  S. Santokh Singh Sethi, Inderpreet Singh Chadha , Principal / Director Dr. Dharam Veer Singh, along with member Incharges and Principals of various schools  participated in the holy procession. After the culmination of the procession at Sri Harmandir Sahib, ‘Guru Ka Langar’ was served to all.
