Workshop on Portfolio Development held at DAV Public School

Amritsar, 5 May ( Punjab Post Bureau  )-  DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar today organized a workshop on Portfolio Development for the students of Std XII. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Vivek Karmokar,  Associate Professor Department of Foundation Design,  Pearl Academy. As many as 100 students of Std XII with Painting as a subject participated in it. The workshop was an interactive one.  The resource person guided the students on Portfolio Development. He also counseled the students regarding various career options in Art and its related fields.  The resource person clarified the doubts in the minds of the students and asked them to give regular practice to their skill.

                   Regional Director Amritsar zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women and the Manager of the school Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College  applauded the efforts of the school for arranging such a workshop. According to them, many career options are coming up in the field of Art and students need to explore these too. Ms.Shama Sharma , Supervisor Co – Curricular Activities, added that Art is a constructive medium to vent ones feelings. So, students must use this skill in a right and meaningful way. She thanked the guest for his precious time and presented a token of gratitude to him. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school , said such workshops help in building confidence among the students and give them a right direction and aim in life.
