Punjab & Haryana High Court quashes proceedings initiated by Amritsar JMIC
Amritsar, April 1 (Punjab Post Bureau)- In a significant decision today, Sh. Anil Joshi Cabinet Minister and his family members got a big relief in the dual vote case when the High Court of Punjab & Haryana quashed the lower court proceedings of JMIC Amritsar. Sh. Joshi stated that this case was based on political rivalries and that ultimately it is the victory of truth and that the faith in the judicial system of the country is further strengthened with this verdict. Sh. Joshi further stated that earlier too the Pb & Hry High Court had dismissed a case of similar nature filed by two Advocates of Amritsar Sh. Vaneet Mahajan & Sandeep Gorsi imposing on them heavy cost of Rs. 50000/-. These persons kept on filing complaints with the Election Commission of India against him and his family members on flimsy grounds. The Commissioner of the Jalandhar division too had earlier conducted a detailed enquiry in this issue and had held that no evidence in the shape of declaration forms etc. was available on record which could establish as to if any member of Joshi family had filled up any such form. Sh. Joshi thanked all his well wishers for their continued support all these years and assured them of his continued services. He said that the judicial system of our country was great which is always espousing the cause of truth.
