Rahul & Kejriwali following the Anti Punjab Approach of Indira Gandhi-Majithia

Kathunangal, April 18 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Punjab Revenue & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia today accused both Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of following the anti-Punjab approach of Indira Gandhi to tarnish the image of State. Interacting informally with media persons after disbursing the grants of Rs. 1.40 Crore for various development works in village Waryam Nangal, karnala, Patalpuri and Kharaswala, Mr. Majithia pointed out that the way Mr Kejriwal reiterated his anti-Punjab stance on key issues including SYL in Delhi, he was fully exposed for his double speak. Similarly, Rahul by his conspicuous silence on SYL issue during his recent Punjab visit put a question mark over the intention of Punjab Congress for supporting SAD-BJP government on this issue. Ridiculing the claim of Rahul that he has a special place for Punjab in his heart, Mr Majithia dared him to show a single landmark of UPA government’s benevolence to Punjab. Mr. Majithia said that the reality was that during Congress regimes Punjab had always faced the apathy of Union Governments and its most genuine demands were portrayed as anti-national and in this way a grave injustice was done to the honest and hard working Punjabis’. He said that Rahul was in no mood to ensure justice to the Punjabis’ on SYL issue as his grandmother had herself forced this canal on Punjabis’. “She pressurized then Punjab Chief Minister in 1982 for water agreement and started the construction of SYL”, he added. Mr. Majithia said that if Rahul had an iota of sympathy for Punjab farmers then why he chose to remain tight lipped when grave injustice was done to them by excluding them while waiving of Rs. 70,000/- crore debt ?. He questioned that why Rahul by continuously raising the issue of drugs with single point agenda to tarnish the image of Punjabis’ thereby creating hindrances in large scale investment in Punjab. He said that both Rahul and Kejriwal were indulging in anti-Punjab activities and weakening the cause of Punjab on SYL issue. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parksah Singh Badal has categorically announced that SYL wont’ be allowed at any cost. He exhorted the Punjabis to discard these anti Punjab leaders by paying no heed to their misinformation campaign. Mr. Majithia was accompanied by Ex MLA Ranjit Singh Waryam Nangal and YAD Majha Zone President Ravikaran Singh Kahlon, talbir singh gill,major shivi and prof. sarchand singh.
