Motivating Youth to Join Armed Forces at Lovely Professional University (LPU)

Jalandhar, May 10 (Punjab Post Bureau)- An Annual Graduation Fashion Show was organised at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium, Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar on 10 May 16. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Lt Gen KJ Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command. A traditional welcome was given to the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour, Lt Gen JS Cheema, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps. After the lamp lighting ceremony and the welcome address by the Chancellor LPU, eight rounds of annual graduating fashion show were held in which the final year students of Fashion Design exhibited some of the marvels in the fashion world, to mark the culmination of their course at the University. The Chief Guest, Lt Gen KJ Singh, addressing the audience praised the standards & heights of excellence the students portrayed in the fashion art and encouraged the younger generation to take their skills and talent to the full potential, for a future shining ‘India’.  The General Officer also motivated the young generation to join the Indian Army, in which he appreciated the response of the students of  LPU which was over whelming and forthcoming.  The Guest of Honour, Lt Gen JS Cheema felicitated the winners of the fashion show and complimented the graduating batch for their zeal and enthusiasm and wished them good luck in all their future endeavours.
