Five Subject based One day workshop in SGHPS

Amritsar, May 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Keeping in view the ardent need to sensitize the teachers about CCE,  A one day workshop of English, Science Maths, Social Science & Punjabi was organized in SGHPS, G.T.Road in different departments. It was organized keeping in view the need to discuss various issues related to implementation of CCE. The main objective of the seminar was to focus on value based education which would provide opportunities for youngsters to discover their own uniqueness & explore their potentiality.  Director/Principal Dr. Dharam Veer Singh welcomed the special guests of the day. Mrs. Dapinder Kaur Principal Majitha Bypass and Mrs. Navneet Kaur, Principal- Tarn Taran & S. Amarjeet Singh, SGHPS Patti. The key resource persons in English were Headmisress Mrs. Kawalpreet Kaur, in Science- Mrs. Raminderjit, Mrs. Tarvinder, in Social Science Mrs. Gursharan  & Mrs. Taranjeet, in Punjabi Mrs. Ravinder Kaur Narula and in Maths  Mrs. Jaspal Bhatti & S. Gurvinder Singh respectively, suggested  the various skills which need to be inculcated & highlighted the role of these skills while teaching. The resource persons focused on interesting & innovative activities to make teaching learning more interesting and which would develop their creativity & originality. The workshop was made interesting with the help of powerpoint PPT presentation. Director/Principal Dr. Dharam Veer Singh highlighted the role of councelling in CCE & stressed that it would help the students to face the challenges of lives with confidence & success.  250 teachers from different Harkrishan schools` participated in the workshop. Various queries were put forth which were answered to the best satisfaction of all by the resource persons.  It was a knowledgeable and fruitful experience for the teachers.
