Book “Problems of Sikh Society” released at CKD

Amritsar, May 21 (Punjab Post Bureau)- In a programme organized by Bhai Veer Singh Research Centre running under Chief Khalsa Diwan, S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa M.P. released a book “Sikh Smaj de Masle” (Problems of Sikh Society) written by S. Tarlochan Singh (Former M.P) at Chief Khalsa Diwan Kalgidhar Auditorium. While commenting on the book he said that S. Tarlochan Singh is a social Sikh scholar who raised his voice for the interest of Sikh Society with full commitment to his stormy ideas. He congratulated him for his strong ideas and its practical justifications through this book. S. Harcharan Singh (Chief Secretary, SGPC) being the chief Guest of function said that he is indebted to S. Tarlochan Singh for giving such ideas  which are really necessary for the sociological, ideological uplift of Sikh mind. Mini articles in the book have such a strength which need the reader to understand the past, present & future of Sikh Community.

1. Charanjit Singh Chadha while making his presidential remarks said that it is an historical event that a man of such high status S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa released the book of a true Sikh S. Tarlochan Singh in CKD auditorium. It is great pleasure for Chief Khalsa Diwan that S. Tarlochan Singh has chosen CKD platform to dedicate his book to Sikh Community. Meanwhile he extended his congratulation to all for the splendorous +2 CBSE results of CKD Schools.

Singh Sahib Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti (Former Jathedar Akal Takht) said that the book written by S. Tarlochan Singh is such a document which compels us to introspect ourselves about our deeds being a Sikh. He also appreciated the selfless services rendered by Baba Seva Singh who reached in the programme as a guest.

1. Jagjit Singh Dardi, Editor Chardhi Kalan, Patiala said that S. Tarlochan Singh is such a statesman who always fight for the Sikh cause. He also gives guidelines how to make liberal attitude & make the Sikhs an integral part of the Indian economy and politics.
2. Tarlochan Singh considered his book concerned with Sikhs cause and Sikh Psychology. He told that while working on different reputed Govt. positions, he always served Sikh Community with his innovative planning and its implementation through government of India. He also expressed his gratitude to Chief Khalsa Diwan for organizing such a function over his book. Dr. S.P. Singh (Chairman of Bhai Veer Singh Research Centre) said that they are lucky enough to have such a statesman like S. Tarlochan Singh who brought out his life fight for Sikh Institution, Sikh values & Sikh culture through this book.

Dr. Harchand Singh Bedi (Director of the Centre) while introducing the book said that the articles edited in this book has historical religious, cultural, & political values which questioned the role of politicians & the leaders. S. Nirmal Singh (Resident President, CKD) presented the vote of thanks. On the occasion Vice President S. Dhanraj Singh, S. Surinder Singh, S. Harminder Singh, S. J.S. Advocate, Dr. Dharamvir Singh and other CKD personality were present.
