Youth Leadership Training Camp for girl students organized by GNDU

Amritsar, 6 June (Punjab Post Bureau) – A Youth Leadership Training Camp for girl students was organized at the Guru Nanak Dev University Students Holiday Home, Dalhousie. This camp was organized by the Department of Youth Welfare of the University. As many as 100 students and their teachers from 10 affiliated colleges of the University participated. Dr. GPS Dhillon, Principal Dalhouise Public School presided over the valedictory function and Sh. Harish Sharma, DSP, Dalhouise was the chief guest. Dr. Puja Sharma was the special guest on this occasion. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare welcomed the chief guest and others. She said that Sh. Vijay Sharma, General Manager, Coca Cola, Amritsar and Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Associate Professor, SDAM College, Dinanagar were the resource persons who shared their experiences with students during this camp.

While blessing the student-artists, Dr. GPS Dhillon said that these activities alongwith formal studies are equally important for a balanced and complete personality of the students. He said students should participate in such activities. He exhorted the students to work hard with dedication to achieve success. During the camp, Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar was the Best Disciplined Team, Second team was SRSPMGNDU College, Niari and SDSPM College for Women Rayya adjudged as Third Best Disciplined team. Similarly, Rajinder Kaur from HMV College Jalandhar was adjudged Best Camper, Gunnet Kaur from GNDU College Jalandhar remained second and Astha Angrish from HMV College Jalandhar was finished third.
