GNDU Student won Gold Medal in Archery World University Championship

Amritsar, 6 June (Punjab Post Bureau) – It is a matter of great pride and honor that Ms. Priyanshu Kachhap, student of Guru Nanak Dev University has won Gold Medal in Compound Women’s team category in Archery World University Championship held at Mongolia from 1-5 June, 2016.  India beat Russia by scoring 228 points out of 240 and Russia scored 220 points. Indian team comprised of Priyanshu Kachhap (Guru Nnak Dev University, Amritsar), Jyoti Surekha (KL University, A.P) and  Swati Dudhwal (Rajasthan University).  She also Participated in World Cup Archery Stage-3, Polland Aug, 2015, World University Games, Gwangju (S.Korea), July 2015. She also won Gold medal in Sr. National and in All India Inter-University Championship in the session 2015-16. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajaib Singh Brar and Sports Department of the University also congratulated Miss Kachhap for this achievement. Presently she is studying in BBK DAV college for Women, Amritsar.
