Master Trainer’s workshop in Early Education Development Programme concluded

Amritsar, July 18 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The Three day Master Trainers Capacity Building Programme in Early Education Development Programme concluded here today at DAV public school, Lawrence Road,Amritsar.The workshop was organised under the aegis of DAV centre forAcademic Excellence under DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. Regional Director Punjab Zone A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra graced the occasion and appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm. Expressing her gratitude to the resource person, Mrs. Inder Mani Jain, Education officer DAV CAE, DAV CMC, New Delhi, she said that such workshops are a platform for sharing knowledge, peer learning and establishment of new practices. She added that early childhood development is very importants as positive learning experiences in this period lay the firm foundation that is essential for the child to reach his full potential. In the end, she gave away tokens and certificates to all the Principals and the participating teachers.

On the concluding day, Mrs. Inder Mani Jain took up holistic teaching methods that embrace both mental and emotional elements. She introduced many new techniques and games to be used by primary teachers in their classes which will help young children to develop proactive attitude, practical skills and values. She also laid stress on re-enforcing a positive attitude in them towards preserving the environment right from the formative years. The participants were involved in many child centric activities which enabled them to share their experience and discuss critical issues related to the classroom.The session had effective power point presentation & videos on the pressures of a school going child in the early years of education compelling everyone to give it a thought.

She emphasised on planning using integrated approach, preparing resources according to the need, and exploring different strategies to cater to the needs of special children. Overall the workshop was very successful as many new ideas & innovative ways to enhance early education were developed and discussed.
