DAV Conducts Workshop on ‘Design Thinking’

Amritsar, Aug. 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A one day workshop on ‘Design Thinking’ was held at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar on 5^th August 2016 organised by Pearl Academy, New Delhi. Ms. Kamlesh Pangtey, Masters in Textiles , was the resource person. Mr. Shashank Khandelwal, Manager Education partnership, Pearl  Academy , was also present there . Around 70 students of XI & XII attended the workshop. It was an interactive workshop. The resource person shared her experience and discussed the innovative way to develop interest in painting, designing and printing . The workshop also aimed at creating magic and generating interest of the students by adopting different methods of designing by showing videos and ppts. It was an enriching experience for them. Regional Director Punjab Zone (A), Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar said  that organising such workshop is very fruitful  for the students. Fine Art is a medium to express  and  de – stress oneself. There is a need to develop this skill among students as it helps in enhancing their imagination and creativity. Dr. Neera Sharma , Principal of the School, thanked the Pearl Academy for conducting the workshop providing the students a platform to discuss and share  different techniques.
