Chief Khalsa Diwan celebrated Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm

PPN1608201605 PPN1608201606Amritsar, Aug. 16 (Punjab Post Bureuau) -To bring out the true spirit of patriotism, all Amritsar institutes under Chief Khalsa Diwan celebrated Independence day with great zeal and enthusiasm in Sri Guru Harkrishan International School, Ranjit Avenue. President Chief Khalsa Diwan, Charanjit Singh Chadha, witnessed the event as chief guest. Principal Mrs Ripudaman Kaur Malhotra extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries. President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha along with CKD dignitaries hoisted the flag followed by flying off tricolor balloons in the blue sky spreading the message of peace and invaluable freedom. The school marched past and saluted the flag. The air was truly filled with the feeling of respect and patriotism towards the motherland. Students gracefully attired in tricolor presented patriotic performances which revealed the struggle for freedom and hardships faced by our great freedom fighters.. At this occasion,. President Charanjit Singh Chadha enlightened the importance of Punjabi’s in freedom struggle. He also inspired everyone to contribute to the prosperity of nation while performing his/her own duties as a good citizen. At the occasion, Member Incharges Engineer Jaspal Singh and Mrs Amarpali also remembered freedom fighters and paid tribute to the martyrs who shed their blood for freedom. In the meanwhile newly built Bhai Veer Singh Auditorium equipped with all modern facilities and bedecked with tricolor attractions was inaugurated by President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha.

Dignitaries on the occasion were present Resident President Nirmal Singh, Honorary Secy. Narinder Singh Khurana, Dr. S.P. Singh, Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, Harjit Singh Dr. Paramjit Singh Chhabra, Director Education Dr. Dharamveer Singh, and Principals of various CKD schools and colleges were present.
