President Appoints Three Governors of States and One Lt. Governor

New Delhi, Aug. 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The President has appointed the  following :Govenors today:-
1. Shri Banwarilal Purohit as the Governor of Assam;
2. Dr. Najma A. Heptulla as the Governor of Manipur;
3. Shri V.P. Singh Badnore as the Governor of Punjab;
4. Prof. Jagdish Mukhi as the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands vice Lt. Gen. (Retd.) A.K. Singh, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM.
The above appointments will take effect from the dates the incumbents assume charge of their respective offices.
