
Amritsar, September 23 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Khalsa College Governing Council-run Sri Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women emerged champion by lifting the overall Youth Festival Trophy at Guru Nanak Dev University. The College won the accolades in the Women Colleges Zone in which 26 colleges from the various districts participated in annual festival. SSSS College for Women was the runners up while Sant Avtar Singh College, Seechewal was the second runners up in the festival.
College Principal Nanak Singh said that the students performed well in all the items especially in the Gidda, Folk Orchestra and Western dance forms. The poetic recitations, elocution, debate, phulkari, clay modeling, classical dance, Varaan and Kavishri were some of the other competitions in which the college students outperformed, said Principal who thanked the KCGC management for the infrastructure and facilities which helped students to perform well in various competitions.
KCGC honouarry secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina congratulated the Principal, staff and students for their performance in the festival which helped the College to shine in the youth festival.
