BBK DAV College for Women takes Pledge to Vote

Amritsar, Sept. 27 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To mark the genesis of upcoming election in Punjab, students and teachers of BBK DAV College for Women pledged on 23rd September 2016 to vote fearlessly and independently in a ceremony that was held under the Election Commission’s Voter Awareness Programme-SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation). The pledge was taken to uphold the democratic tradition of the country and to inculcate the spirit of voting responsibly. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the whole college for spreading awareness about “Cast your vote” programme. She said that India is the largest democracy of the world and to continue this ongoing tradition, we need to infuse in the young minds the importance of casting the vote wisely and responsibly.
