Daughter’s Day was celebrated in Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School

Amritsar, Sept. 27 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Daughter’s Day was celebrated in Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School Airport Road, Amritsar under guidance and supervision of Principal Ravinder Kaur Bumra. Girls recited poems and made speeches about female feticide, discrimination between boys girls the theme of which was to save girl child. Two deserving girls from each class were honoured. The whole program came to conclusion with the speech of the Principal in which she highlighted the importance of girls in our society. Love care & respect should be given to them. She said that today’s girl is not the problem for the society but pride and an asset to the society. We should pay special attention to their education and the way they are brought up. The main aim of the function was to create awareness among the children that they should be dutiful to their social relations.
