New Delhi, October 14 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Annual function is one of the most important events in the college calendar. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management and IT, Nanak Piao one the premier institute of DSGMC celebrated its Annual Function at Shah Auditorium with great zest, vibrance and elation. Chief Guest of the function President, DSGMC S. Manjit Singh GK enriched the event with all his motivational and encouraging words directing the progress of the Institute towards scaling new heights in academic and extra-curricular activities. He congratulated the management and assured a committed endeavour from DSGMC to bring all round development of our young generation with hallmark of quality and excellence.
The function was presided over by the Chairman, SGTBIMIT S. Inderpreet Singh Captain and Manager, SGTBIMIT, S. Jeet Singh Khokhar. Among other dignitaries present were S. Satpal Singh, Vice President, DSGMC, S. Gurminder Singh Matharu, Chairman-Higher Education Institutes, DSGMC, S. Jasbir Singh Jassi, Member DSGMC, S. Gurdev Singh Gujral, member DSGMC, S. Samarjeet Singh (Sunny) member DSGMC, Sdn. Dheeraj Kaur, Member DSGMC, S. Sohan Singh Kohli, Vice Chairman SGTBIMIT and Ms. Reema Kaur, Counsellor ward No. 12, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar graced the event with their benign presence.
The programme commenced with the recitation of shabad as a tribute to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and later lighting of the Ceremonial lamp. Entailing the Felicitation Ceremony, our Director General, Dr. D.S Jaggi, Director,Dr. NavneetKaur and Assistant Director, S. Verender Singh, Dean, Dr. ManinderKaur with all the dignitaries launched the college magazine ‘REMINISCENCE’ and inaugurated the website of the Institute.
Chairman SGTBIMIT, S. Inderpreet Singh Captain apprised the gathering regarding the various achievements made in the institute pertaining to extension of infrastructure and other basic facilities in library etc. during his tenure as Chairman of the Institute. Dr. D.S. Jaggi, also the Director General of other institutes running under DSGMC highlighted the value and ethics of education in his speech, followed by Annual Report presented by Dr. Navneet Kaur, Director SGTBIMIT.
The function was further graced with more colourful cultural events like Khalsa walk, Gatka, Dances, Band performance, Alumni walk, Stage Play depicting the sikh values. The entire programme was planned, conducted and co-ordinated by the faculty, staff and students of the Institute. This all was followed by the Prize Distribution ceremony of various achievements in the field of academic and sports. At the end Vote of Thanks was given by Assistant Director.
