Amritsar, October 21 (Punjab Post Bureau)- A one day seminar on “Emerging nematode problems and their management under changing climate scenario” was organized by Department of Zoology of the Guru Nanak Dev University. This Seminar was held in the Conference Hall of Guru Nanak Bhwan with collaboration of “Nematological Society of India (NSI)”. A large number of students and falculty participated. Dr. Pankaj, Secretary of society from ICAR-IARI, New Delhi acquainted the students with the activities of the society. Professor Narpinderjit Kaur, from PAU, Ludhiana talked about the emerging nematode problems and their management in Northern India. Dr. Bansa Singh, from ICAR-IIPR, Kanpur gave a lecture on menace of nematodes and their management in pulses with future strategies. At the start of the seminar, Dr. Arvinder Kaur, Head, Department of Zoology welcomed the guests and the seminar was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Satwinder Kaur. Dr. Pooja Chadha introduced the speaker to the audience.
