Rich Tributes Paid to Swami Virjanand & Mahatama Anand Swami

Amritsar, October 24 (Punjab Post Bureau)  – A special morning assembly was conducted by the students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Virjanand and death anniversary of Mahatama Anand Swami. The whole atmosphere echoed with the holy hymns & shaloks recited by the students. The students paid rich tributes to the learned scholars & philosophers, Swami Virjanand & Mahatama Anand Swami Ji. On this occasion a Hawan was performed in the school premises for peace & contentment.

The students spoke about the inspirational life of Mahatama Anand Swami. He was a strong pillar of Arya Samaj & DAV movement. He was a social reformist & an instrument of social change. He would always be remembered as a leader, philosopher, editor & architect of the DAV movement. He devoted his life to Ved Prachar & upliftment of the society. The students also spoke about the inspiring life of Swami Virjanand. The great & pious saint influenced the life of Swami Dayanand to the extent that it is believed that there would have been no Dayanand without Virjanand & without Dayanand there would have been no revival of the Vedic Dharma. It was Swami Virjanand who helped Dayanand realize the true meaning of life & understand the hidden & true meaning of Vedas. He asked him to spread the true knowledge of Vedas, dispel the darkness of ignorance, throw light on the true meaning of truth and liberate India. The students took a pledge to follow the path shown by them and dispel ignorance & evils from the society.

Regional Director Punjab Zone A, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar advised the students to be rooted to their culture & heritage. They asked them to imbibe true Aryan values and lead a fruitful life. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, while addressing the students said we must pay reverence to great saints who have shown us the path of enlightenment and must always tread the path of honesty.
