Students from various Govt. schools of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, and Pathankot took part to demonstrate their talents

Amritsar, 5 November (Punjab Post Bureau)- Three day zonal level co-curricular competitions concluded at Govt. Girls Sen. Sec. School, Mall Road, Amritsar. The competitions were conducted by PSEB, Mohali with the aim to inculcate creative interests & overall development of students. Students from various Govt. schools of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, and Pathankot took part to demonstrate their talents in the fields of declamation, Poem recitation, General Knowledge, Folk Dance “Luddi” & “Gidha”.
On the event,were present as chief guest Mrs. RajinderChouhan co-ordinator PSEB VidyakMukable. While distributing prizes to the student participants, Mrs. Chouhan addressed and told them about the importance of these competitions & how these competitions play a vital role of grooming their respective talents & help wards connect with their Punjabi Culture. Principal of the Mall Road School, Mrs. Mandeep Kaur congratulated the winners.
Under the Folk Dance category, Third Levelcompetition, the first place was siezedby the “Luddi” Team of Mall Road School. In Gidha, First position was bagged by Prim Roses School, Second position was bagged by Mall Road School and the Third position was bagged by M.S. Gate School. In Poem Recitation & Declamation contest the second position was grabbed by Priya&Shubhneet both from Mall Road School. Further in the Junior category, Mall Road School bagged First positions both in Solo dance &Gidha competitions.
The event was well managed by Mrs. Jatinder Kaur and stage was managed by Mrs. KawalInder Kaur &Mrs. Mandeep Kaur. The judges of the above mentioned competitions were Mrs. Ramanpreet Kaur, Mrs. Manjot Kaur and Mrs. Balwinder Kaur.
