AVM Demands Independent TV channel of Gurbani Kirtan from Golden Temple

Amritsar, November 8 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Amritsar Vikas Manch has urged the SGPC to make arrangements for setting up its own TV Channel for live telecasting of the holy programs of Sri Darbar Sahib (The Golden Temple). In a letter addressed to  SGPC President Prof Kirpal Singh Badungar the Manch Patron Dr. Charanjit Singh Gumtala  has reminded them of the unique nature of the round-the-clock service from Sri Darbar Sahib and its immense popularity among gurbani lovers. Viewers go in for special expensive channels PTC  only because they show Darbar Sahib Programs. There are many Sikh channels which telecast live programme from different Gurdwaras free of cost. The only alternative for the SGPC is an independent channel of its own exclusively devoted to religious programs from the Darbar Sahib. It is not a difficult project. It will cost only 44 lacs.
