Amritsar, Nov 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Delhi Arvind Kejriwal visited village Majhupura of Amritsar to express his condolences with the family of deceased farmer Ravinder Singh Pannu who had recently committed suicide after facing harassment due to demonetization. The marriage of his daughter was to be solemnized on Dec. 5 2016 but he could not withdraw the amount required to meet the marriage expenses. Expressing his concern over the unfortunate incident, Arvind Kejriwal said that it is quite shocking that the person who wants to withdraw the amount from his own savings for meeting the wedding expenditure of his daughter, is handed over a note of Rs. 2000/-. This is happening all over the Nation and the Prime Minister is bent upon to derail the life of common man. He said that the farmers, traders, and small retailers are constrained to stand in long queues outside the banks due to demonetization which has immensely damaged their business. Do the Prime Minister think that these farmers, retailers, daily wagers and common people standing outside banks are corrupt? He appealed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to revisit the idea of demonetization and save several innocent people from undue harassment.
