Help Desks outside the Banks to facilitate the General Public soon

Amritsar, Dec 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  The Government of India has brought out a scheme for the demonetization of Rs.500 and Rs. 1000/- currency notes which in circulation. Moreover, certain other controls have been put in place by the Government for withdrawing of money from Banks and ATMs. Girish, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Amritsar Over the last few days since 10.11.2016, it has been seen that this has resulted in long queues in front of Banks to deposit money, many a times, the common public is not aware of the procedure for exchange of notes or their legal formalities that are required due to the new policy which has been put in palace.

                        Secretary Girish said that with the approval of Hon’ble Executive Chairman, NALSA and under the able guidance of Learned District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Amritsar, the PLVs have been deputed to set up Help Desks outside the Banks such as SBI, PNB, Post Office to facilitate the General Public in filling up forms for depositing exchange of notes and in making them aware of their rights and formalities that are required and also cautioning the public against doing transactions on behalf of others.
