Doordarshan Broadcasted Heart of Asia conference sanctioned by MEA

Amritsar, Dec. 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The news of major events and conferences, held at different places in India and abroad is the result of efforts made by Technical and backend staff of the Doordarshan. The Live coverage of the Heart of Asia conference held in Amritsar was also sanctioned to the Doordarshan. The technical staff installed Van and Dish in the Hotel premises, who relayed the live program on Doordarshan. The link was also provided to the other channels.

Mr. Ashok Pathak Director Engg. giving the detail said that during the conference control room was setup for contributing and distributing live signals. Doordarshan applied 10 Cameraman, HD Van and 4 DSNG Van, 2 back pack units which is used for walking live Coverage.  40 persons team of Doordarshan was here in Amritsar for the coverage, he said. It is noteable that only camera man and presenter is comes on the screen but team comprising many persons including Technical staff, controllers and helpers. The team who worked during HOA includes Ashok Pathak Neeraj Pandey, Hukam Singh (both Sr. Engg. Assistant) and Kamleshwar Senior Technician.
