Capacity Building Programme held for Teachers at DAV Public School

Amritsar, January 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A Capacity Building Programme for teachers teaching Music, Dance,

Computers, Fine Arts and Physical Education & Yoga was held at  DAV Public School Lawrence Road. The workshop was organised under the aegis of DAV CAE, New Delhi and Regional Training Centre ,  Punjab Zone – A .

As many as 90 teachers from various DAV Schools  in Amritsar participated in the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by Regional Director Punjab Zone – A , Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra who is the inspiration behind these  workshops. Addressing the teachers she said that such workshops are a right platform to learn from each other. She gave her best wishes to everyone for the success of the workshop. The workshop aimed at enhancing various skills and competency to enable  the teachers to promote the same among their students .It was an interactive workshop in which teachers from different DAV Schools shared their best practices.

The resources persons Ms. Sarbjot Kaur from DAV International School for Fine Arts , Mrs. Kanica Sharma for Dance Mrs. Raghubir for Music,  Mrs. Inderjit Sekhon and Mrs. Harveen for Computer, Mrs. Anita Taneja for Physical  Education & Yoga from DAV Public School engaged the participants in meaningful activities that can be incorporated in classes for developing  and stimulating the curiosity of the students. The workshop was well received and highly appreciated by the participants. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, thanked all the participants for joining the workshop and sharing their methodologies for the benefit of students.
