BBK DAV College for Women lifts Senior State Softball Championship

Amritsar, January 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Softball team of BBK DAV College for Women, won the Senior State Softball Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. College team put up a splendid show by defeating GNDU Campus, Amritsar, HMV College, Jalandhar and KMV College, Jalandhar.

Team members were Ms. Harpreet Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Divya, Priya Devi, Lakhbir Kaur, Simrandeep Kaur, Neha, Aarti, Nikita, Tania and Bandna. Four players                       Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, Harpreet Kaur, Mandeep Kaur and Simrandeep Kaur also won first position in Senior National Championship.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports.  Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee, Prof. Satinder Singh, Former Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with faculty members, and Softball Coach Rupinder Kaur felicitated the players on their achievements.
