Amritsar, January 18 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Union Steel, Mines and Employment Narendra Singh Tomar today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a public rally in the `holy city’ for Punjab elections. He said the requests for the election rally had already been forwarded to PM in this connection and the dates would be finalized after seeing his tour programs for the Uttar Pradesh and Goa election campaign.

Tomar who was here to preside over the filing of the nomination of BJP-SAD candidate for Amritsar Lok Sabha by-poll Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, said that the Alliance in Punjab would make a history by registering success in the Punjab elections for the third consecutive time. He said Chhina would emerge winner in the polls and would be representative of the people of Amritsar in Modi government in Centre.
He also hit out at Navjot Singh Sidhu when asked about his entry into Congress. “Sidhu had been a good player. The sports and elections are two different things. Sidhu wil face the united strength of the SAD-BJP in Punjab elections and he will learn a befitting lesson”, said Tomar refusing to comment. When asked about Sidhu’s attack on BJP he said that the national party is not concerned what he says as the people of the country have now come to know about the real face of Sidhu.
He recounted the pro-poor and pro-farmers policies of the Modi government and how PM Modi had been working day and night to bring the nation to the parity of the developed nations of the world. On the episode of resignation by Punjab BJP President Vijay Sampla, Tomar said that there was no resignation at all and Sampla himself had made the clarification regarding this. He said there were no differences of opinion amongst the BJP leaders relating the allotment of party tickets to various candidates for Punjab assembly.
