World Wetland Day celebrated at DAV College

Amritsar, February 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The department of Zoology, DAV College organized on the spot slogan competition on the occasion of celebration of World Wetland Day 2017 for the science students.

The main aim behind celebrating the day was to spread awareness on the importance of wetlands and their benefits. In this competition, 36 students participated enthusiastically. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated Dr. Rajni Khanna, Head department of Zoology for organizing such competitions which helps students to explore their hidden talents. He also motivated the science students to participate in such competitions and to understand importance of wetlands. The competition was judged by Dr. Neeru, Dr Rupinder and Dr. Kiran. On this occasion, Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Ms Renu Chauhan, Ms Nihita Sharma and MS Palak Gupta were also present on the occasion.
