Amritsar, February 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – KT: Kalã Kendra organised an On the Spot Painting Competition of school children today. About 200 students of 20 schools of City and Batala Participated in this competition. There were five categories of different classes from pre nursery to plus two.
First, Second, Third and five consolation prizes were given in each category i.e. total 40 cash awards were given. In addition to cash prizes, Colour boxes as gifts, certificates and refreshment of Chocolate, wafers, chips, juice were also given to each participant. Mr. Jagmohan Singh, Ms. Paramjit Kaur, Ms. Aakarshi Sawhni, Ms. Vanshika and Brajesh Jolly acted as jury members and decided the winners.
Shri Gautam Guha, Principal, Cambridge International was the Chief Guest and he distributed the prizes to the winners. In his key note address the chief guest appreciated the efforts of the KT:Kalã. He addressed the children and talked about art creation. Before it, Secretary Sh. Rajesh Raina, Dr. Baldev Gambhir welcomed the Chief Guest by presenting them Bouquet.
Sh. Rajesh Raina also thanked the teachers specially those who specially came from far away government schools like from village Nangali who brought their students at KT Kala in short notice. Many artist, art lover, and art teacher namely, Rajni Dogra, Dharminder Sharma, Gulshan Sadana, Kulwant Gill, Anil Datta and others were also present on this occasion.
