Art Galary organized Sahir Ludhianvi Nite in association with Rotary Clubs of the City

Amritsar, March 5, (Punjab Post Bureau) – Indian Academy of fine Arts MM Malviya Road organized Sahir Ludhianvi Nite in association with Rotary Clubs of Amritsar South east, Central, North, West, Aastha & Punjab Council of Art & Literature today. IAFA had been paying tribute to the legendry poet since 2002 in association with Rotary Clubs and Punjab Council of Art & Literature. This year too, IAFA organized a musical evening based upon Sahir’s Bollywood songs rendered by renowned city singers.

Richa Aneja (Top 10 Indian Idol fame), Khyati Mehra (Finalist Voice of Punjab), ,Latika Arora, Saloni, Aaanchal Jasmit Nayyer, Harinder Sohal, Rajesh Bhagat, Kuldip Anand, K.S Mundri, Gurpreet Singh, Surinder Kakkar presented melodious songs.  Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina presided over the function. He welcomed the Guests, Artists and Sahir lovers on the musical evening. Guest of Honour Mohan Singh Sachdeva himself a great poet and singer from Jallandhar praised the efforts put in by IAFA to keep the young generation aware of the evergreen poetry penned down by the legendary poet Sahir. Guests of Honour included Mian Bakhtawar Singh ADC Tarn Taran a great poet, Ms. Supnandan Deep ETO, a renoened singer, Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor a renowned lawyer and Sahir fan. Special guests included Sahir fans attached to these program since 2002 Dr. Amrit Lal Adlakha, Dr. HP Singh, Dr. OP Singhania, Dr. P.S Rana, Dr. Rakesh Bharti, Col. KJS Aneja, Retd. Distt. & Session Judge MS Chawla, Kulwant Singh Suri, Sukhpal Singh, Sh. O.P.Verma, Bhupinder Nanda, Sh. Atul Mehra, Kulwant Singh Gill, Sh. Dharminder Sharma, Gulshan Sadana, Narinder singh, Narinder Singh Ghabria , Karmjit Singh,  Narinder Khanna and Mrs. Balvinder Grover, Mrs. Rekha Mahajan and many more. Annual awards were given to Ms. Khyati Mehra, Dharminder Sharma and Atul Mehra. The musical program with light on historical and interesting events pertaining to Sahir was presented by Dr. P.S Grover. Vote of thanks was passed by Er. Pushpinder Singh Grover.
