An Awareness Programme for Adolescent Girls

Amritsar, May 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – As a part of campaign ‘Jagrook Beti Programme’ DAV Public School Lawrence Road organised a talk on coping with ‘Hormonal Changes’  for the girls of Std VIII by Dr. Gayatri Shoor. Dr. Shoor guided and explained the girl that adolescent is a very crucial stage of life where they undergo hormonal changes. She provided right guidance and directions to the girls about  these feminine changes and how they have to tackle these less discussed issues. She also motivated that they have to develop heathly attitude towards it. Through power point presentation she made her talk very interesting, effective and enriching.

Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. Neelam Kamra and Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar  Principal DAV College Amritsar appreciated the efforts put in by the school  for organising such talks. They hoped that the talk will empower the young girls to handle all the problems efficiently and scientifically.

Dr. Neera Sharma , Principal of the school, thanked  the guest and wished that all the ‘Betis’ will become jagrook and will shun their  hesitation and become  confident to discuss such sensitive matters with  their parents.
