Food Tech. Students placed in Multinational Companies

Amritsar, June 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Food Science and Technology course being run by the Food Science and Technology Department of Guru Nanak Dev University is booming up as a number of students of the current pass-out batch got massive industrial placements. A number of reputed food companies visited the campus for direct recruitment. HRD Agro, Nestle and Farelabs offered jobs as well as internships to the students. Offering a pay package of  Rs.1.80 Lakhs, Nestle selected 3 students, HRD Agro selected 2 students and Farelabs has taken 3 students. Almost 50% students of the pass-out batch got placements and they will join respective companies very shortly. Dr. Palwinder Singh Placement-in-Charge and Dr. Balmeet Gill, Head, Food Technology Department congratulated the students for their success.
