Amritsar, Mar. 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PG Department of Mathematics, DAV College organized a Lecture on
“Challenges in Stochastic Modeling for Telecommunication Systems” on 10th March, at Seminar Hall in the college.
Dr. S. Dharma Raja Professor and Former Head Department of Mathematics, IIT Delhi was the key Speaker during the event. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Prof R.k Jha Head Department of Mathematics honored the resource person during the event.
Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar appreciated the efforts of Prof R.k Jha, Head department of Mathematics and other staff members of the Department for organizing such scholarly lectures for intellectual growth of students and for promotion of the subject. He also added that such lectures help in clearing concepts and getting deeper knowledge about the subject. While speaking on the occasion, Prof R.k Jha explained the relevance of the need of topic in day to day life and measures to meet the challenges.
While briefing about the topic Dr. Dharma Raja elaborated the topic by giving the practical examples and informing the revolution and evolution of the Wireless Mobile Technology. He said that starting from 1G (First Generation Mobile System) we have arrived at 5G (Fifth Generation Mobile) level. He explained about the challenges and limitations in meeting such requirements.
The lecture was followed by interactive session with the students of Msc Mathematics in which they cleared about their queries from the expert. Dr. B.B Yadav, Prof. Madan Mohan, Prof. Ashu Vij, Prof. Meenu Aggarwal, Prof. Vikram, Prof .Amit, Prof. Shivani, Prof. Suman, Prof. Sheetal, Prof. Kapil and Prof. Kashish attended the lecture.
