DAV Public School Observes National Sports Day

Amritsar, August 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road organised a special assembly to observe National Sports Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand. On this occasion the students remembered the great player and took an oath to take inspiration from the eventful life of the distinguished player. They also mentioned about the importance of sports and games in one’s life, which helps one to be physically active and healthy. They narrated the significance of the day, recited poems and sang inspirational songs. They also talked about the famous sports personalities who have brought laurels to the country.

                Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar appreciated the efforts of the students for observing such days and advised them to resepect great legends like Dhyan Chand and take pride in celebrating Indian culture and heritage.

                   Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school motivated the students to take part in games  and advised them to imbibe the value of honesty, team spirit and co-operation.
